Mrs
Violet Palmer sent us some interesting old notes. Attached was
the following explanation:
"My
grandmother was born at Little Farm, her Parents were John Williams
and Susannah (Herbert) and they lived at Little Farm for most
of their married life. They moved there on May 1st 1854.
I know Louisa went to the little school (now a private house)
opposite the "House with the wooden leg" and her parents had to
pay a penny or tuppence week for her to attend.
Attached you will find some old recipes and scribblings from a
notebook I have of my Great Grandfather, John Williams.
There are no punctuations and I have used his spelling throughout.
You may find them of interest considering they were written more
than 150 years ago."
